Guess who's still up...

Miles is still awake. It is 9:17, and he is still up. He took a bit of a late nap, but this is silly.

The new neighbors moved in last week. We still haven't met them. Twice I have met their house guest, never them. The first night there was insanly loud snoring at about 5am. The next night they were hammering and drilling until midnight. Then they moved furniture around the bedroom until 2. After that I have heard the snoring a couple of times, but overall it hasn't been as bad. They do slam their door and the gate a lot. A couple of times we have gone down stairs to see the garage light on. Today, I went down and started a load of laundry before going to take my test. Every light down there was on. We have a light in the middle of the garage, the light that comes on with the garage door, and they have a light on their side of the back, and we have one too. Ours is behind our washer and dryer, and the switch is hard to get to. Every one of them was on. After I came back, Jared went down to move the laundry. He said that their car was in the middle of the garage, taking up their space and ours, and our mail was on our washing machine. This is uncool. I think the guy may have heard us talking about it because right after Jared told me, I heard the garage door. I can't wait to move back to Dallas. Where we have our own garage, and drive way, and street in front.

Well, I'm going to try to put Miles down AGAIN....

This is me studying

I'm so good at it! I took my accounting test on Friday, and I have to take my marketing test on Tuesday. I'm totally not ready, but that's why I'm studying (or apparently updating my blog). Whatever.

Saturday we went to the zoo with some friends. It was so much fun. We went with Mikey, Yoshika, and their almost 6 month old son Michael. As usual when we plan something fun, Miles didn't sleep well so he slept through most of the zoo. I think he had fun while he was awake though. Here's a pic of him "enjoying it. I have to go actually study now.

Updated photos!

I'm so proud of myself! I had Jared show me earlier this week how to update photos on our website. I just did it myself. I think I didn't even delete anything important :) It is 12.30 in the morning. Miles went to sleep with no problems tonight, but just before we went to bed he woke up. Then I couldn't get him to sleep again, so I got up. He is pretty easy to get to sleep if I put him in the sling and bounce him on our yoga ball. So, I got up to do that. He went to sleep, but I had to finish updating May's photos. Here is a cute one from the other day of him smiling. He was laying on the bed with Jared, and we were playing with him.

Turnabout is fair play?

Sunday Jared woke up feeling much better, and I was feeling fine. I was looking forward to a day of getting done what we didn't do late in the week and already in the weekend. When I put Miles down for a nap about 1 in the afternoon, I fell asleep too. I woke up at 3, and felt nausious. Shortly after that I was throwing up my insides for all I was worth. Jared was very helpful and took completly over taking care of Miles while I was in bed. It's Tuesday morning and I'm feeling much better. I think Miles is doing well still (I hope).

Eight o'clock and all is well

It is 8:40 and the whole family is in bed. Jared came home Thursday evening from work with what he thought was food poisoning. He has felt pretty crummy ever since. He has been running a feaver between 99 and 100 (not consistantly, ofter it will be normal). He threw up Friday morning. Fortunantly he didn't have to go in on Friday. He called the nurse hotline through our insurance, and they said continue what we were doing, bland foods, plenty of water, and asprin for the headache and fever. So, he went to bed early today, Miles is asleep, and I'm bored! Jared kinda wanted me to be around, so he gave me his laptop to use in bed. Sorry, no pictures in this post because they are all on the other computer. I really hope he is feeling better tomorrow. He is helping out with Miles where he can, and I know he is trying not to add to my work load, but I will just feel better when I know he is. I called my sister (Celeste) yesterday. She said that her husband thought he had food poisoning too, but she thinks it is a stomach bug and she was getting it. Fortunantly I don't seem to be getting this, and neither does Miles. Celeste said that Justin and Madison (her children) haven't gotten it. Let's hope none of the kids do!

Three Cheers

This started out as a really long rant about our downstairs neighbors. Let's just say Hurray the movers came today and they are leaving! We are so thrilled. Frankly we hope to be not far behind them in leaving. We want so badly to move back to Dallas, but for now, at least they are gone.

What we are up to

Today I made Broccoli Cheese Soup. Actually, it is 10:40PM and it is still on the stove. I started it while making dinner. It will probably be lunch tomorrow. We walked to the store and back with Miles. He did very well. He had been getting grumpy in the back pack recently, but seemed to enjoy this trip. Before bed we had some tummy time and played with the Lights and Music toy that Aunt Anita & Aunt Celeste gave him. He really enjoys that. Yesterday after he was done playing with it, I had him standing in front of it, and he grabbed on to the top. He was able to hold himself up with it. I was so impressed, but I couldn't get a picture. I'll try to get him to do it again tomorrow and snap a pic. There is a picture of him playing under it on the last post. But here is a pic of his cute feet, since I already posted one of him playing with the toy :)

Jared has been working really hard on our website for pics of Miles. It is looking great!

We went to the peditrician this week. She said that Miles is looking good. He is 15lbs, 3ozs! That is near the 90th percentile. His head size and length were over 75th percentile and she was happy.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and Jared's Birthday too! Happy birthday babe, I love you!

And Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

Baby Madison

This is what the weather is like here today...

What a couple of days. First, and most importantly, Madison was born Monday morning! She is beautiful, and was a healthy 7lbs, 10ozs. She and mother (my sister) are doing fine.

On Firday, I took Miles up to the place I used to work. He was great. Everyone loved on him, and he seemed to enjoy it. At one point there were a bunch of people in the room, and everyone was laughing at something. He let out with this loud noise (not annoying, just loud for him) which I can only assume was him taking advantage of the moment to pratice his laugh too. He did very well, but was overstimulated by the time we left. He fussed a couple of times while we were there, but I put him in the sling and he was fine. I had him in the onesie that Celeste (my sister who just had her baby) gave us while I was pregnant. It is grey and long sleeved. It says "momma's little" and has a little red monster picture on it. Also, while I was pregnant a friend gave us these cute little socks. They are red, and have three toes, and go perfectly with the onesie. He was too cute. Here is a picture of him in it.

On Saturday we went to a BBQ at a friend's place. There were about 5 other babies there. That was really fun too. We spent the whole day outside and played with him and the other babies. We really enjoyed that. All the babies there were older than he is, and it was fun to watch them at all of their developmental stages. The oldest was about 6 or 7 months. He was sitting up very well, and reaching for things. Miles is getting better at reaching, but isn't quite there yet.

Thanks for reading...here's another picture :)

This is Miles playing with the Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Activity Center that Celeste & Anita gave him.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog. This is the first one I've ever done, so it should be a learning experience.

Here is a picture of my son, who this blog is mostly about.
