How do I count this?

Yesterday, Friday, I didn't work out. We got up, made breakfast and drove south to visit my grandmothers. I just didn't get it done. Today, I did work out. Jared didn't join me. He had spent an hour in the garage (it's about 100 degrees outside, not counting how the garage traps heat) and didn't have the energy. Apparently he also didn't have the energy to keep Miles from climbing all over me while I worked out.

We had a nice visit, saw both grandmothers, and played a lot. Miles really enjoys visiting there I think. In other news, we booked plane tickets. For this Wednesday. We are flying to CT to visit my sisters for about a week. Yikes! It's about a 4 hour flight and we have layovers both ways! I have no idea how to keep Miles entertained all that time. Wish me luck! On a positive note, my sister has a girl about Miles' age, so there are lots of toys there.

Day 4

Ugh, is it only day 4? These things get easier as time goes on, right? I'm mostly kidding. I'm still in the "this is relatively new and interesting" phase. I told Jared earlier that we hadn't worked out and that stunk. He said we could after we put Miles down to bed. Then as we cleaned the kitchen I mentioned it to him and he said that he was just going to stretch. I started getting ready to work out and he decided that he didn't want to be "upstaged" by me. :) I told him I wasn't trying to upstage him, just work out. I weighed myself just after the workout, and I haven't lost any weight! I've been weighing myself in the morning, so that might be different. Also, I need to measure myself so I can really see the results.

The pictures are just because I haven't posted any recently. They have nothing to do with anything.

So Exhausted!

I got up this morning and first thing I did my workout! Yay me! I'm hoping to lose some serious weight sooner or later, but I'd better not first admit that Jared is on his way with a pizza. Oops!
Today was the big canning day. I called my neighbor first thing this morning, and her phone went straight to voice mail. I called her when Doris got here, and it went to voice mail right away again. We weren't planning on starting until one, but Doris wanted to start early because she'd have to leave at 4:00. It's a god thing we did because we didn't even get all the berries processed. I called the neighbor again at one, and still went right to voice mail. I hope everything is ok with her. When I was buying jars, I decided to buy enough in case the neighbor had purchased the wrong thing. So, between Doris and I we bought all the berries hoping to be paid back for some, and enough jars to process all of them hoping that we'd be able to take some back if the neighbor bought the right kind. It turned out to be a good thing, otherwise we would have run out of jars way before berries! As it is, we have 75 jars of jam and pie filling, 4 flats of jars, and a bunch of berries left over that we split up.
